First (real) time on the Appalachian Trail

  • by

So, the first time I tried to hike along the Appalachian Trail, July of 2018, I climbed up an almost vertical slope – 1/2 mile hike, 500 ft rise in elevation, and got onto the traila fire road, actually. The AT was just a ridge over.

This year, I actually made it to the Trail itself – on a planned hike. Things did not go as planned, but I did get pretty high. Hope you enjoy!
