August, 25th, 2021, a Wednesday, I drove from Lederach, PA up to Lehigh Gap, PA to the Lehigh Gap Nature Center to begin a hike on the Appalachian Trail. The Nature Center was pretty cool, so if you are in the area, drop by and say hi. Also, maybe help mark the Woodpecker trail a little more clearly – I got lost twice… I don’t know if it was the rocks or what, but I was only able to tell where I was supposed to be by using the AllTrails App.
The Altitude gain is a lot for a flatlander to handle – 1,375 feet of gain. On AllTrails, it is the Appalachian Trail to North Loop trail – or at least part or most of it. I didn’t do the loop at the Nature Center – just went straight up the hill. I also had the opportunity to use my ETEKCity Filter Straw again – at a semi-approved spring close to the shelter.
