In Search of Zombies

… well, the Zombie Trail.

Zombie Trail is a 9.7 mile hike up and down a couple hills in Wildwood. It is near both Lone Elk park and Castlewoods park, although you don’t get to any of them the same way. Speaking of getting there – ride a motorcycle, because St. Paul Road is pretty awesome. … and you wouldn’t want to meet a car while driving a car on that road. Its kinda narrow.

Read this profile in Terrain Mag for some spooky history. I have yet to find a close trailhead parking for it – I parked 2 miles away at Sherman Beach, and there is another trailhead on the other side – Al Foster trailhead.

On St. Paul road, there is literally a spot where the road goes between a house and a shed…
